LaBarge is a 2 ply sport weight yarn that is made from wool from the Lincoln breed of sheep. It is blended 50/50 with rambouillet to give it some bounce.
This wool was sourced from the Bar Quarter Circle Ranch in the valley of Gallatin, Montana.
Lincoln is a long staple fiber and can grow 12" per year. While a typical wool fleece will weigh 10 lbs. a Lincoln fleece can weigh 16 lbs.
We named this yarn "LaBarge" after a town in western Wyoming right on the bank of the Green River.
